This weather site is powered by a Davis Vantage Vue weather station installed in the Ward Hill area of Harold Parker State Forest in Andover, Massachusetts. Sensor data is sampled every 2 seconds and delivered through a WeatherLink Live appliance using its local API, allowing the site to update conditions approximately every 2–3 seconds.
If the WeatherLink Live API becomes unavailable, the system automatically falls back to the on-site Meteobridge, which provides a slower but reliable update stream.
The station includes an anemometer, rain gauge, and thermo-hydro sensor, each positioned for optimal exposure and accuracy within the forest’s mixed terrain and canopy.
